When it comes to ordering a bath it sometimes be quite tricky to know which bath to order and in which hand/size.
Hopefully i have answered most questions below but if there is anything else you need to know please email us info@bathcenter.co.uk
Bath Handing
Shower and corner baths usually are handed Left and Right, all the product pages should have the handing images on them but if not the below images should help:
Bath Thickness
We sell three thickness/strength of bath, these are as follows:
Standard:
This is is 5mm thickness acrylic, a good thickness for most situations and can be used as a bath with shower over if required. Unlike some online retailers we dont sell any baths thinner than 5mm.
8mm thickness is available in the Granada 1700mm bath.
Reinforced:
We do a variety of reinforced baths such as Tungstenite, Beauforte and Supacast but they are basically the same thing. They are standard 5mm acrylic baths which have had an extra layer of reinforcing material moulded around them (please see image below).
These baths hold the water heat for longer but are mainly used when a bath is being used regularly as a shower as they give an extremely solid feel underfoot.
Steel Baths:
We sell a number of steel baths, although steel baths can have a cold feel to them they are stronger than the standard acrylic baths and are also available with an anti slip base.
Bath Sizes:
Baths come a large number of sizes nowadays and it is usually possible for us to supply a bath which will fit the space you require.
The 1650mm and 1675mm baths can be particularly useful in older buildings as they will fit imperial measurement bathrooms.
We have recently noticed a lot of people choosing the 1600 x 800 bath size as it fits in the smaller space but still has a large bathing area.
Our Portland 1700x900mm is our most spacious standard bath and is also deeper than usual.
Please note many people make the mistake of forget the tile thickness when measure the gap for a bath.
Bath Styles:
A single ended bath has taps and waste at one end, a double ended bath has taps and waste in the middle of the bath ie the longest side.
P shaped baths larger curved section at one end to allow for showering and l shaped have a square version of the same.
Corner baths are a becoming popular again, they are perfect for bathrooms which are an awkward shape, out most popular bath is the Laguna.
Freestanding baths are baths which stand on their own without walls to support them such as the Bolsena freestanding bath or Athena freestanding bath.
Back to wall baths are also now an option, these are freestanding baths witch will fit against just one wall such as the Linton bath.
Curved baths (J Shaped) such as the Biscay bath are also becoming more popular.
Bath Screens:
Bath screens will fit on all our single and double ended baths, we also supply a universal folding bath screen which suits corner baths.
For anyone who wants a full length bath screen which goes across the entire bath we also have the Volente Overbath Slider.

Most of baths are white but there are exceptions, black and grey baths are also quite popular at the moment particularly our new Onxy black bath which unusually is black on the inside.
