How To Choose My Bathroom Suite

Bathrooms can often be quite costly to refurbish, being sure you are choosing the correct suite can be very important.

The good news is when ordering a complete suite the price is generally lower than when choosing items separately and there are so many options you can taylor your choices to suit your needs.

The following are the items you need to consider when order a complete bathroom suite:

Baths - Do i need a bath and if so what length and width? Older bathrooms often only have a 1650-1675mm gap fit a bath so 1700mm baths can be to large.

Do i want a bath with taps in the middle or taps at the end?  This is usually just a style choice but we always like to point out that double ended baths with taps in the middle can be more troublesome if ever you wish to change your taps and waste.

Basins - Most people are choosing basin and vanity units at the moment and there are many many shapes and sizes to choose from.

The more old fashioned basin and pedestals are still available and are particularly popular in Victorian style suites.

Toilets - Toilets can be close coupled, low level, high level and back to wall and which you need generally depends on the style of room you are creating.  A room with vanity unit will usually suit a wc unit and back to wall pan whereas a traditional victorian style room will suit a low level or high level toilet.

Brassware - Suites are usually sold with chrome brassware but black and gold taps/wastes are now readily available and suites can be changed to include them.

Also design needs to be considered:

Colours - White or Black

Price range is also something to think about:

Basic suites are available for as little as £300 (for example our star buy suite) but they can be priced as high as £1000 for freestanding bat suites.
