Question: What is the best material for a freestanding bath?
Answer: There are different material options for a freestanding bath, but Lucite/Acrylic seems to be the most popular option at present and we believe the best for a number of reasons, Lighter weight (easy installation), acrylic baths keep water warmer for longer and the price is usually far less expensive.
Question: Are Freestanding Baths more expensive?
Answer: Yes (usually). However not as much as you would think when considering most freestanding baths are supplied with a pre fitted waste, you don't have to buy bath panels and depending on other options they (in particular the Athena Bath here) are a very well priced Freestanding Bath option.
Question: Will a standard bath pop up waste fit this bath?
Answer: It wont, only the pre installed chrome clicker waste will fit this bath.
Question: What is the thickness of this bath?
Answer: It is a 5mm twin skinned acrylic, this shouldn't be compared with standard bath thickness as freestanding baths are far sturdier due to their design.
Question: Will this fit a standard 1650 bath space?
Answer: It will, ideally a small gap either side will look better but it is exactly 1650mm long.
Question: Do I need a special waste?
Answer: No it comes complete with bath waste, you can change the colour of the waste when adding to cart if required.
Question: Can it be drilled for taps?
Answer: No, this bath is for use with a wall filler tap or freestanding bath tap.
